Background
of Problem
Education,
curriculum, and Learning activity are inter-related. Education is like a
vessel, which contains a planned and directed design, usually known as
curriculum. That design will not be embodied if there is no implementation.
That implementation is carried through learning activity Curriculum itself
essentially is a set of plan and arrangement concerning purpose, content, and
learning material as well as the method used as a reference in carrying out
learning activities in accordance with the development and the need in order to
achieve a particular goal in a certain institution. Curriculum is a plan for
the successful learning activity. It contains plan relating to purpose, what to
learn, and what has been learned. (Unruh, Glenys G., 1984).
